Our Mission

At Hope For Honduras, we want to bring hope to children from low-income families living in remote villages throughout Honduras, in communities that are often forgotten and overlooked.

We aim to provide school supplies, shoes, classroom materials, and resources to explore art and develop their talents. We support their learning in the small schools their own communities have built with hard work and love, reminding these children that their dreams matter, too, and that there are people who want to support them.

We want to be a bridge between those who wish to help and the children who need that support, bringing smiles to their faces and nurturing their dreams, because we believe hope has no borders.

Our Story

Andrea A. Flores Mendoza founded Hope For Honduras because she, too, was once a little girl who grew up with limited resources, but with dreams and immense faith in her soul.

One day at school, someone believed in her talent and gave her an opportunity to move forward. That support helped her grow as a writer and planted in her heart the desire to do the same for other children.

Andrea believes that children, even when growing up in poverty with few opportunities, can hold deep faith in who they can become. Sometimes, they simply need someone to believe in them and offer an opportunity they can embrace as they continue on their path.

That is why Hope For Honduras was born: to support children in low-income communities who are waiting for that opportunity. Through school supplies, shoes, classroom materials, and resources to explore art and develop their talents, we want to remind them that their dreams matter, too.
